He was predeceased by: his parent-in-law Mary Dunigan; his sister Judy Curtis; and his siblings-in-law, Marla Slaughter and Jim Dunigan. He is survived by: his wife Kathy of Amana; his children, Todd Slaughter (Tracy) of Robins and Chad Slaughter of Robins; his grandchildren, Teegon, Tia, Carson and Julia; his siblings, Gary Slaughter of Lone Tree, Dave Slaughter (Jan) of Cedar Rapids, Keith Slaughter (Diane) of Iowa City, Rick Slaughter (Peggy) of Iowa City and Brenda Ewing (Joe) of Iowa City; and his siblings-in-law, Danny Curtis of Hills and Bridget Dunigan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Ron.
