We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2023, at the age of 81, Gerald F. Schwarting of Amana, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Schwarting and Johanna Schwarting (Sandersfeld); and his brother-in-law Don Oehl. He is survived by: his wife Karen Fay Wardenburg of Williamsburg; his children, Kimberly Zuber (Eric) of South Amana and Mark Schwarting (Leslie) of Middle Amana; his grandchildren, Gerrod, Johanna Zuber, Corrine, Claire and Anna Schwarting; and his siblings, Judy Oehl of Amana and Robert Schwarting (Kathy) of Middle Amana.

A memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or the Lutheran Interparish School.
