He is survived by: his pets, Stormy and Vince; his wife Linda McDowell; his children, Rhonda Sangster (Bob) of Loveland, Colorado, Brenda Werning (Barry) of Blairstown, Iowa, Mike Rieck (Kim) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Stephen Rieck (Richard) of New York City; his grandchildren, Brian Hogan Stewart (Clara), Taylor McNeal, Sara Riemersma (Ryan), Samantha Shoemaker (Casey), Madison Werning (Stuart), Grant Stewart (Destany), Nathan Werning (Sarah), Ella Rieck and Danielle Werning; his great grandchildren, Etta, Callan and Reese Riemersma; his sister Anita Kratchavil (Ralph); and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Sacora (Dionne), Sandy Askelson and Suzanne Rath.
