He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Elsie (Peters); his parents-in-law, John and Loretta Roemen (Schettler); his siblings, Dale, Gale and Carol; his siblings-in-law, Ronald Roemen, Larry Childress and Evelyn Ver Mulm (Roemen); and his grandson Alec Schlotfeldt.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadine; his children, Gerald (Lorri), Bruce (Nancy), Mark (Laura-Eve), Carol, Brad (Tina), Tom (Kelly) and Richard (Jenny); his siblings, Glen, Loren, James, Larry, Paul and Judy; and his sister-in-law Delores. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and countless friends.
