He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Hill and Cecelia Hill (Hohnholt); his wife Helen Schmidt; his daughter Linda McGhee; and his siblings, Evelyn Johnson (Bob), Howard Hill, Harold Hill (Betty), Beth Sheilds (Edgar), Donna Kracht (Irvin) and Carol Burdess (Dean).
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Hill (Becky Morris), Steve Hill (Pam), Scott Hill (Diane) and Cheryl Gilbert (Bruce); his grandchildren, Joanna Hill, Ben Hill, Toby Hill, Jeremy Hill, Brad Hill, Josh Hill, Tim Hill, Jason Hill, Nicole Palmer, Tucker Gilbert, Hunter Gilbert, Kesley Auer, Scott McGhee, Andy McGhee, Bryan McGhee and Karen McGhee; and his sister-in-law Marcella Hill. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family that will be given to the Des Moines Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at a later time.
