He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his daughters, Julie Turner (Jim), Deborah van Latenstein, Jennifer Davis and Denise Hamling; his siblings, Eugene Hamling (Helen) and Alice Mastrud; his grandchildren, Dallas Cross, Chenoa Shaw, Reno, Denver Davis and Levi van Latenstein; and his great grandchild Archie Davis.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the John & Paul Catholic Church (14011 1st Avenue, Altoona, Iowa). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Ss. John & Paul Catholic Church (14011 1st Avenue, Altoona, Iowa).
