She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilde Villavicencio Albina and Jose Cruz Ezpinoza; and her siblings, Marcelina Cruz Villavicencio and Nicanor Cruz Villavicencio. She is survived by: her husband Julian Chavez; her children, Susan Chavez, Joe Chavez and Deisler Chavez; her daughter-in-law Lee Chavez; her grandchildren, Melanie Chavez, Matthew Montanez, Ian Chavez, Shine Chavez and Baugyi Chavez; and her great grandchildren, Marisol Garcia and Francisco Garcia.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home (105 4th St SW, Altoona, IA 50009). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at the Bondurant Cemetery.
