He was predeceased by: his parents, William Akerberg and Geraldine Akerberg (Flischer). He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Kimberly Akerberg (Kenny Semple) and Brian Akerberg (Jenny); his grandchildren, Ryan, Eric Semple, Lexis, Easton and Emmett Akerberg; his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Chance Semple; and his sister Astrid Senger (Larry).

Memorial contributions may be directed to Unity Point Home Hospice in loving memory of Colin.
