It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Louise Alexander of Altoona, Iowa, born in Stuart, Iowa, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Doherty and Irene Kenyon (Lowell); her son David Lee Cassler; and her siblings, Daniel Doherty, Kenneth Doherty, Jim Doherty, John Doherty, Paul Howard Doherty, Barbara Ann Doherty and Mary Hayes.
She is survived by: her husband Harlan "Gene" Alexander; her children, Michael Cassler (Kimberly Miller), Theresa Cassler (John) and Heidi Scuffham (David); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Cassler, Abby Hanifen, Tessa Cassler (Grant Pearson), Dustin Cassler (Jessi), Zach Cassler and Henry Scuffham; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Ellie, Elise, Norah and Charlotte; and her siblings, Theresa Wells, Ellen King, Patricia Purviance and Richard Doherty.
