He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Horkey and Caroline Horkey (Thorman); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Horkey, Marge Schroeder, Betty Streff and Dale Jobe.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Streff of Alton; his children, Mike Horkey (Denise) of Alton, Luke Horkey (Katie) of Alton and Kendra Hough (Lucas) of Graettinger, IA; his grandchildren, Zach Kellen (Kelsey), Allison Kanaly (Tyler), Morgan Kellen (Abby), Mason, Brayden Horkey, Lane, Aubrey, Riley Horkey, Lauryn, Cole and Grant Hough; his brother Dan Horkey (Nancy Hinz) of Granville, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Schroeder (Janys) of Kingsley, IA, MaryAnn Jobe of Neosha, MO, Patti Walsh (Ed) of Sioux City, IA and Bev Thoene (Marc) of Alton, IA.. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of gifts and flowers the family asks that memorials be directed to Orange City Hospital Auxiliary.
