Marvin D. Babcock Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin D. Babcock of Alton, Iowa, born in Winnebago, Minnesota, who passed away on June 11, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Babcock and Helen Babcock (Fierke); and also, Richard and Norma Gerths. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Gerths of Alton; his children, Andrea (Eric Wu), Joshua (Kelli Babcock) and Melannie (Travis Hofmeyer); his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Addison and Bailey Babcock; his siblings, Lewis (Barb Babcock), Ed (Jan Babcock), Jack (Sue Babcock), Mary (Mark Seaburg) and Kathy (Dave Zarling); his siblings-in-law, Cathy and Kevin Solem of Cochrane, Wisconsin; his siblings, Laurie and Ric Marzolf of New Hampton; and his brother-in-law Richard (Joan Gerths) of Chatfield, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family encourages memorials to be given to the Orange City Area Home Health and Hospice.
