We are sad to announce that on March 13, 2023 we had to say goodbye to JoAnn Vander Plaats of Alton, Iowa, born in Sheldon, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aben Jacobsma and Dorothy Jacobsma (Te Brink); her sisters, Valarie Jacobsma and Helen (Rodney Vanden Brink); her brother-in-law John B. Gesink; and also, Richard Vander Plaats and Janice Oertel.
She is survived by: her husband Ron of Alton; her siblings, Darlene (Marlo Fedders) of Orange City, Arlene Gesink of Orange City, Janice (Donny Wielenga) of Orange City and Larry (Wendy Vander Plaats) of Hospers; and also, Nelva Vander Plaats of Sioux Falls and Roger Oertel of Junction City, Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be given to the American Diabetes Association.
