He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Minten and Emma Minten (Konz); his sisters, Bernadine (James Christoffel), Emily (Richard Schroeder) and Kathleen (Milo Harnack); and his sister-in-law Betty (LeRoy Kirschman).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Watson of Alton; his children, Rachel "Rae" Minten of Alton, Daniel "Dan" Minten of Alton and Sarah (Chris Sholly) of Granville; his grandchildren, Charity Sholly of Sheldon and Christian Sholly of Granville; his great grandchildren, Desmond, Xander and Xavier; and his siblings, Myron "Mick" (Nancy Minten) of Beckville, Texas and Marilee "Mari" (Robert Elliott) of Richmond, Minnesota. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
