He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Zenk and Margaret Zenk (Engeldinger); his stepmother Mollie; and his siblings, Mildred Vortherms (George), Milo Zenk, Alfred Zenk, Alvin Zenk (Sue), Cyril Zenk (Corrine) and Msgr.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Reuter of Alton, IA; his children, Rose Klein (John) of Omaha, NE, Patrice York (Ted) of Linn Creek, MO, Tom Zenk of Omaha, NE, Jerry Zenk (Angie) of Urbandale, IA, Pat Zenk (Jean) of Alton, IA and Jennifer McCormack (Mark) of Omaha, NE; and his sister-in-law Catherine Twombley of Ankeny, IA.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
