He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Haupert and Rose Haupert (Heidesch); his sister Cleo Pick (Jim); his father-in-law Tony; and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Pick, Milo Pick (Virginia), Jim Pick, Darold Pick (Carol), Addie George (Louis) and Rita Wandersheid (Harold).

He is survived by: his wife Edna Mae Pick; his children, Mary Pohlen (Bob) of Tracy, MN, Tom Haupert (Marlene) of Granville, IA, Ron Haupert (Jane) of Hospers, IA, Lou Ann Pottebaum (Gordon) of Sheldon, IA, Linda Plathe (Nick) of Alton, IA and Joleen Konz (Dale) of Alton, IA; and his sister-in-law Mert Pick of Remsen, IA. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
