We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2023, at the age of 84, Anthony Newman of Alton, Iowa, born in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Newman and Mary Newman (Bergamin); his siblings, Donnie, Eddy Newman, Jean and Judy; his brothers-in-law, Tommy LeClair and Bob Alesch; and his parents-in-law, Edmund and Verena Pottebaum (Konz).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pottebaum of Alton, IA; his children, Ryan Newman (Dawn) of Yankton, SD, Lisa Kleinhesselink (Ryan VanBeek) of Alton, IA, David Newman of Alton, IA, Matt Newman (Cara) of Sergeant Bluff, IA and Nikki Newman (Shane Frank) of Sioux City, IA; his grandchildren, Brianna (Zach), Abby, Drew, Alyssa (Saul), Ethan, Parker, Nolan, Brynlee and Jace; his great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Beckham and Emersyn; his sisters, June Guindon (Gilles) of Ontario Canada, Mary Lou Kairiss (Andy) of Ontario Canada, Sandra Baltussen (Hank) of Ontario Canada and Val LeClair of Ontario Canada; and his siblings-in-law, Lynda Newman of Ontario Canada, Diane Alesch of Alton, IA and Marvin Pottebaum (Annette) of Remsen, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
