With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dean Folkers of Alta Vista, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Folkers and Lenora Folkers (Kobliska); his brother-in-law Claude Underwood; his father-in-law Louis Kolbet; and his sister-in-law Sue Kolbet.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Folkers of Alta Vista, IA; his sons, Andy Folkers (Danielle) of Laporte, MN, Mark Folkers (April Gravador), Croughton and England; his grandsons, Roland and Nolan Folkers of Laporte, MN; his siblings, Janette Underwood of Waterloo, IA, Dennis Folkers (Barb) of Oelwein, IA and Doug Folkers (Sara) of Alta Vista, IA; his brother-in-law Edward Stepan of West Union, IA; his mother-in-law Donna Kolbet of Osage, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Alan Kolbet of Alta Vista, IA, Janet Hennigar of Dumont, IA, Sheila Moritz (Doug) of Osage, IA and Carmela Slick (Loren) of New Hampton, IA. He is also survived by friends and many nieces and nephews.
