He was predeceased by: his parents, August Bohlen and Treana Bohlen (Bengen); his wife Darlene Salge; and his siblings, Harland, Gordon, Clarence, Loretta Viet and Elsie Werkman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary K. Bohlen (Pat Rule) of Allison, Patti Hagen (Warren) of Allison and Julie Miller (Tim) of Charles City; his grandchildren, Brianna Davis (Jeremy) of Durant and Austin Wm; his great grandchildren, Cannon Wm, Kolt, Carly and Keely Davis of Durant; his brother Herman Bohlen of Cedar Falls; and his sister-in-law Ginnie Bohlen of Waterloo.
