Wilbur Cordes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2020, at the age of 88, Wilbur Cordes (Allison, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cordes and Bessie Cordes (Robbins); his siblings, Kenneth Cordes (Marjorie) and Alice Younker (Elmer); and his grandchildren, Katy Cordes and Ryan Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Greta Cordes of Allison; his children, Suzanne Moore (Michael) of Albert Lea, Sara Martin (Paul) of Granger, John Cordes (Jody) of Allison, Lisa Cordes of Las Vegas and Emily Pittenger (Matt) of Greene; his grandchildren, Anne Long (Robert), Jill Martin (Dan Bunker), Kyle Martin (Gwendolyn), Casey Cordes, Sam Cordes (Ami), Jack Cordes (Amber), Betsy Cordes (Justin Kuper), Luke Fletes, Henry Pittenger and Grace Pittenger; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Kara, Harper Long, Claire and Will Cordes; and his brother Bill Cordes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Wilder Park in Allison, Allison AMVET Auxiliary Scholarship, or Trinity Reformed Church in Allison.
