He was predeceased by: his mother June Ballhagen (Heichel); and his father-in-law Mike Codner. He is survived by: his father Jerry Ballhagen; his wife Carol Jean (Codner); his sons, Michael Ballhagen (Abby) and Jerod Ballhagen (Brittney); his granddaughters, Amelia Ballhagen and Elsie Ballhagen; his siblings, Brent Ballhagen and Mindy Umthum (Bron); his mother-in-law Dorothy Codner; his siblings-in-law, John Codner (Shelly), Craig Codner (Stephanie) and Kristie Kramer (TJ); and his nephew Cole Liekweg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ballhagen family.
