He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wangsness and Johanna Wangsness (Strand); his son-in-law Harlan Steere; his grandson Brock Steere; and his siblings, Virginia Snyder, Maxine Wangsness, Willis, Howard and John Wangsness.
He is survived by: his wife Ila Wangsness; his children, Deb Steere, Gary Wangsness, Rod Wangsness (Stacy) and Rick Wangsness (Kelli); and his sister Joanne Egge. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
