He was predeceased by: his parents, Burchard Luebbers and Mary Luebbers (Beckers); his former wife Donna Luebbers; his wife Dorothy Luebbers; and his siblings, Herman, John Luebbers, Johanna Thrasher and Adelheid Murphy.
He is survived by: his former wife Donna Leonard; his children, Tom Luebbers of Allison, Michelle Dischler (Randy) of Rockwell City and Patti Nie (Brian) of Jesup, Iowa; his grandchildren, Michael Dischler (Amber), Mathew Dischler (Raeann), Maria Forthmann (Blake), Colton and Aubrey Nie; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Sierra Dischler; his sister Margaret Kleinschmit (Gay); and his siblings-in-law, Joe Murphy and Kay Luebbers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
