She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sands and Irma Sands (Whitney); her sons, Don, Dean and Gene Turner; her siblings, Vernon, Donald, David, Harold Sands, Patricia Graham and Shirley; and her close friends, Bob Witlatch and Elbert Briden.

She is survived by: her son Scott Turner of Allison; her grandson Jason Turner (Alexis) of Cedar Falls; and her great grandchild Mina Turner. She is also survived by several foster children, extended family and dear friends.
