She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisabeth Berends (Arends) and Fred Berends; her brother Freddie Berends (Patricia); and her brother-in-law Wendell VanDeest. She is survived by: her husband JB; her children, Kevin Marks (Lisa) of Beaman, Kathy Stewart of Oelwein, Kay Lister of Kalispell and Kurtis Marks (Sonya) of Jesup, Iowa; her grandchildren, Kodi Jo Marks, James Stewart, Jamie Carrico, Jeremy Stewart, Jerad Stewart, Storm Lister, Eliza Marks, Aiyanna Marks, Kiona Marks, Samantha Marks, Moriya Marks, Kreedin Marks, Johann Marks and Kaimen Marks; her great grandchildren, Berkley, Rylande, Ashlan, Garrettson, Blake, Tyler, Aubrie, Jace and Noah; her stepgrandchildren, Heather and Natallie; and her sister Esther VanDeest of Hampton, Iowa.. She is also survived by 7 step great grandchildren.
