It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Alex Chestnut of Allison, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robert Craig; his brother Matthew R. Chestnut; his grandparents, A. J., Ruth Kluter, Robert H. and Viva Chestnut; and his aunt Marilyn Roberts (Bill).
He is survived by: his mother Vivian Ruth Chestnut (Kluiter) of Waverly; his aunts and uncles, Myrna Culbertson (John) of Waverly, Beverly Engelkamp of Bellevue, Nebraska and Doug Chestnut (Marilyn) of Lake Side, Montana; and his nephew Colin Chestnut of Waverly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Diabetes Research, the National Kidney Foundation; or charity of donor's choice.
