He is survived by: his wife Karen Sytsma of Gowrie; his children, Karen Meyer (Scott) of McCormick, S. C. and Mike Sandberg of Alleman; his grandchildren, Ryley Sandberg (Haley), Paige Sandberg, Kalena Meyer, Tessa Smothers (Caleb) and Alexa Meyer; and his sister Nancy Shadwick of Decorah. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
