He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Borts and Doris Brown Borts. He is survived by: his wife Judy Rae Cory; his daughters, Brenda Tallman (Randy) of Ankeny and Bernita Barr (David) of Alleman; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Benjamin Dirksen, Jacob, Brandon and Emily Barr. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family for a charity to be determined at a later date.
