He was predeceased by: his parents, T. Wayne Reece and Ruth Reece (West). He is survived by: his wife Mary McGrew of Alleman; his children, Steve Reece (Kathy) of Slater, Theresa Vondra (Tim) of Plattsmouth, NE, Matt Reece of Minburn and Anne McGrath (Chris) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Sarah McDeid, Erin Reece, Mallory Reece, Megan Temte, Rebekah Keiser, Skyler Vondra, Melanie "Ellie" Vondra, Stephan Egger, Amanda Baskin, Chase Reece and Chloe McGrath; his great grandchildren, William, Titus, Isla McDeid, Elsie Temte, Elana Reece and Esme Baskin; and his siblings, Tom Reece (Stephanie), Bob Reece and Becky Wilkerson (Larry).
Due to concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family memorial service will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Family of David Reece, c/o Adams Funeral Home, P.O. Box 745, Ames, Iowa 50010, to be used for a scholarship that will be created in David's memory.
