With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Viola A. Hansen of Algona, Iowa, born in Whittemore, Iowa, who passed away on January 1, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Berninghaus and Hilda Berninghaus (Ostrom); and her grandsons, Abe, Ben and Adam Iglewski.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Hansen; her children, Charlynn (Stephen Flaherty), Neil (Rena Hansen), Cheryl (Jerry Thul), Connie (Eric Iglewski) and Craig (Jodi Hansen); her grandchildren, Kevin, Geoff, Amelia, Emalee, Lucas, Isaac, Ella, Avery, Roque and Marah; her great grandchildren, Ashton, Rohen, Ridge and Addison; her brothers, John Berninghaus of Algona and Jan Berninghaus of Griffith, Georgia; and her sister-in-law Marvel Culbertson of Lone Rock. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
