He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Cook and Gladys Cook (Marilyn Cook); his son Scott Cook; his stepdaughter Jennifer Fleming; and his pet Jessie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheryl Mertz (Steve) of Robbinsdale, MN and Lynn Wolter (Ernie) of Emmetsburg; his grandchildren, Amanda of Mindy, E. J., Nicole, Jessica, Sarah, Amber, Adam and Jill; and his stepchildren, David, Ruth, Lorraine and Steven. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Kossuth Regional Health Center Foundation or Algona Community School District in Sheridan's honor.
