She is survived by: her husband Dean Ver Helst of Algona; her sons, Shawn Lohman (Lisa) of Whittemore and Kevin Lohman (Marieann) of Burt; her stepson Justin Ver Helst (Amber) of Hartley; her siblings, Connie Bock (Ralph) of Glidden and Gary Schilling (Ann) of Dyer, AR; and her pets, Boots, Hendrix and Magic. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
