He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Boleneus and Lottie Jeane Boleneus (Ericson); his parents-in-law, Bert'B. L.' and Margie Coon; and his son Dayton J. Boleneus.
He is survived by: his wife Nita Coon; his children, Tami J. Hove, Dawn J. Boleneus, Beth J. Boleneus and Royce Boleneus (Crisanta); his grandchildren, Kyler Hove, Serena Hove, Evan Allie, Lillian Allie, Teagan Kunkel, Emmett Boleneus, Aisslyn Boleneus, Dravin Lynch and Arsenya Lynch; and his siblings-in-law, Neil Coon (Maria), Beth Chandler (Dennis), Lila Kohls (Andy), Todd Coon (DeAnn) and Liz Coon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Oakcrest Funeral Services (218 S Moore St, Algona, IA 50511). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Algona First United Methodist Church (201 E Nebraska St, Algona, IA 50511).
