He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Riedel and Matilda Riedel (Schmidt); his wife Dee; and his son James Riedel. He is survived by: his daughters, Connie and Judy; his grandchildren, Allison Edwards (Jonathan) of West Hartford, CT, Sheila Erk of Louisville, KY, Jordan Erk (Ashley) of Louisville, KY and Paige Sams-Secrest (Robert) of Stillwater, MN; his great grandchildren, Hadley, Oliver Edwards, Bristol, Calvin Secrest and Charlotte Erk; his sisters, Lorraine Divis and Verdell Leek; and also, Connie Sams (Mark) of River Falls, WI and Judy Erk (Henry) of Louisville, KY.
