He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Horsen and Jeanetta Van Horsen (Druger); his adoptive parents, William, Edna Lappin (Kerns) of Imogene and Bernard; his former wife Louise Booth; his children, Robert "Eddie" and Susan; his wife Janice Hudson of Armstrong, Iowa.; his siblings, Daniel "Bud" Van Horsen, Fern Watts, Frank Van Horsen, Jeanetta Sorbe, Clayton Van Horsen, Eddie Bleuer, Paul Sukau and Carol Platt; his daughter Susie Wilborn; his son-in-law Jason Hanchett; his children, Richard Lappin (Diane), Eddie Lappin (Cheryl), Carol Lappin, Lori Hanchett, Lisa Thompson (Rick), Larry Lappin (Carol Laubenthal) and Lonny Lappin (Jennifer); and his sister JoAnn Hilgendorf (John) of Welcome, Minnesota.. He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
