He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Dorothy Ellen Walker (Johnson); his wife Ruthey Marie Howerton-Brown; his daughter LuRae Walker; his son-in-law Terry Mains; and his siblings, Ida Bonine (Otto), Jim Walker (Ruth), Donna-Dale Fosnaugh (Gilbert), Howard Walker, Janice Woden (Howard), Stanley Walker (Shirley), Rozina Myers (Wayne) and Charles Walker.
He is survived by: his children, William Jo Walker (Roxanne) of Spearfish, SD, Allen Mark Walker of Algona and DeVon "DeeDee" Joy Mains of Algona; his grandchildren, Tina Walker of Dallas, TX, Mystical Walker (Mike) of Spearfish, SD, Dustin Walker (Amanda) of Rochester, MN, Susan LaPorte (Paul) of Algona, Virginia Lappe (Daniel) of Elmore, MN and Kathleen Mains of Des Moines; his brother John Walker (Bette) of Chicago City, MN; and his sister-in-law Carol Walker of Gothenburg, NE. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
