He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Elbert and Irene Elbert (Berger); his wife Vickie Petersen; his sister Diane Hansen; and his father-in-law Orie "Bud" Petersen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alicia Baxter (Nick) of Center Point and Chelsea Wilson (Phil) of Bondurant; his grandchildren, Luke Baxter, Owen Baxter, Aiden Wilson, Easton Wilson and Natalie Baxter; his mother-in-law Irene Petersen of Algona; his siblings, Sandi Goede (Donald) of Algona, Terry Elbert (Carol) of Branson, MO and Jeffrey Elbert of Evanston, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Hansen of Whittemore, Kevin Petersen of Cedar Rapids and Missy Rash (Kevin) of Algona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Social distancing practices will be followed and masks are required for both the visitation and the Funeral Mass.
