He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Thilges and Agnes Thilges (Besch); his daughter Karla; his brothers, Gerald Thilges (Becky), Maurice Thilges and Dale Thilges; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane Thilges and Lou Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Seiler of Algona; his children, Kendra Thilges of Spirit Lake, Kraig Thilges (Kathy) of Algona and Doug Thilges (Jackie Hovinga) of Algona; his grandchildren, Ryan Davis (Karen) of Mankato, Eric Thilges of Fort Dodge, Kaylee Hockett (Logan Gast) of Sheffield, Brandee Hockett (Kyle Pratt) of Spencer and Josh (Gabby Fritz) of Waukee; his great grandchildren, Olive, Laiyla, Kholson, Raelyn and Levi; his godchildren, Kris Fairbanks, Renetta Seiler and Patrick Thilges; his siblings, Theresa Thilges of Algona, Marvin Thilges of Algona, Donna Boyd of Fredericksburg and Jeanette Thilges of Maynard; and his sister-in-law Donna Thilges of Waukee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
