With solemn reverence, we commemorate Julie A. Culbertson (Algona, Iowa), whose life came to an end on January 17, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Mino and Pearl Mino (Wiener); her sisters, Loretta Cannady, Nancy Dawson and Laura Kluger; and her father-in-law Dean Culbertson.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Culbertson of Bode; her children, Tiffany Hoakison (Curtis), Melanie Reynolds (Derek Calahan) and Sierra Jorgensen (Ben); her granddaughter Mariah Thompson (Zach); her great grandchild Raylee Thompson; her grandchildren, Chelsey Hoakison, Colton Hoakison, D'Arien Calahan, Damarion Calahan and Danicka Calahan; her siblings, Larry Mino and Angela Thompson; her mother-in-law Marvel Culbertson; and her sisters-in-law, Kim Benson (Kevin) and Kris Hoyt (Brice). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakcrest Funeral Services (218 S Moore St, Algona, IA 50511). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (204 2nd St, Irvington, IA 50511).
In lieu of flowers, memorial's may be directed to Kossuth County Dementia Care or St. Croix Hospice in Spencer, in Julie's name.
