He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Kahler and Dorothy Kahler (Schultz); his wife Lenora Hilbert; his brothers, Elmer, Ben Kahler, Vern Kahler and Rob Kahler; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Kahler and Chuck Thomas.
He is survived by: his son Adam (Brandi Kahler); his grandchildren, Faith, Maddy and Karlee of Burt; his son Christopher Kahler of Algona; and his siblings, Art Kahler of Bancroft, Gertrude Thomas of Marathon, Rose Burmeister (Jerry) of Fort Dodge and Linda Wegner (Meryl) of Long Prairie, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
