Joan R. Grandgenett Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2024, at the age of 91, Joan R. Grandgenett (Algona, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Goetz and Marjorie Goetz (Sparks); her close friend Harry Eischen; her husband Larry Grandgenett; her daughter Marla Reding; her daughter-in-law Lori Grandgenett; her grandson Joe Grandgenett; and her siblings, Bill Goetz, Lois Weiland, Marlys Kelly and Carol Youngwirth.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Grandgenett (Judy) of Corwith, IA, Ron Grandgenett (Holly) of Orlando, FL, Tom Grandgenett (Caren) of Merriam, KS, Alan Grandgenett (Sally) of Wahoo, NE and Diane Suntken (Bruce) of Kearney, NE; her son-in-law Jerry Reding of Wesley, IA; her sister Norma Biegger of Polk City, IA.; and her grandchildren, Amy Fox (Caleb), Sarah Grandgenett, Luke Grandgenett, Abbey Huber (Zach), Ben Grandgenett (Abby), Samantha Plybon (Grant), Kayla Schumacher (Ben), Cindy Shimp (Kyle), David Reding (Kristen), Mikki Suntken and Timothy Suntken. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Parish ~ St. Joseph (405 S East St, Wesley, IA 50483). A Mass was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial's can be made in Joan's name to the Kossuth County Cancer Foundation, 1921 E. Elm St., Algona, Iowa 50511.
