Iola Chickering Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iola Chickering of Algona, Iowa, who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald McKee and Mabel McKee (Thomas); her siblings, Francis (Joe), Lyman, William, Roger, Melvin McKee and Lucile Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Arthur Brown (Lucile), John Anderson (Maxine), Wilma McKee (Francis), Inez McKee (William) and Dorie McKee (Melvin).
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly VanFosson (James) of Altoona, IA, Dan Chickering (Yoko) of San Diego, CA and Dave Chickering (Jill) of Vermillion, SD; her grandchildren, Amanda VanFosson Rauch (Matthew), Aimee VanFosson Piper (Brandon), Alyssa VanFosson Lafler (Logan), Annika Chickering, Jennifer Chickering, Branden Chickering, Molly Chickering Sauer (Paul), Megan Chickering Van (Jordan), Melissa Chickering Lyngaas (Lucas), MeagAnn LeCates Turner (Trever), Molly LeCates and Melanie LeCates; her great grandchildren, Keaton Rauch, Clara Rauch, Kinnick Rauch, Mason Sauer, Paisley Sauer, Scarlett Turner, Logan Van Meeteren, Willa Van Meeteren, Piper Van Meeteren, Vada Brown, Donavon Lafler and Annabella Lafler; and her siblings, Larry McKee (Ivy) of Spring, TX, Maxine Anderson of Dayton, OH, Afada Silverthorn (Dwight) of Mesa, AZ and Carlotta Wilcox (Kenneth) of Loveland, CO.
Memorials may be made in Iola's name and directed to the Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatum, IL or the Alzheimer's Association.
