He was predeceased by: his parents, William 'Bill' and Janice Bruhn (Wood); and his brothers, Brant Bruhn and Justin. He is survived by: his sister Carolyn Carlson (Brett) of Algona; his sister-in-law Jennifer Smyser of Muscatine; his former wife Mary Reimers of Muscatine; his nieces and nephews, Ross Carlson of Algona, Collin Carlson (Beatrice) of Montreal Quebec and Mallory Bruhn of Muscatine; his stepson Alex Reimers (Sarah); his stepgrandchildren, Townes, Guthrie and Rowyn of Perry; and his stepdaughter Trisha Reimers of Arlington Heights, IL. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
