It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward J. Thompson of Algona, Iowa, who passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Thompson and Cora E. Thompson (Coon); his sisters, Marilyn Guthals and Carole Rice; his brothers-in-law, Donald Rice, Duane Devine and Gary Orrick; and his nephew Michael Devine.

He is survived by: his sisters, Dolores "Dee" Johnson (Larry) of Algona, Virginia "Gini" Devine of New Hampton, IA and Patricia "Tish" Orrick of Springfield, MO; and his brother-in-law Frank Guthals of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
