He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Walker and Violet Walker (Rich); and his siblings, Robert, Raymond, Vern, Merlin Walker, Loretta Broesder, Irene Holdren, Grace Bjustrom and Charlotte Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Mae Walker of Algona; his sons, Kevin Walker (Cindy) of Algona and Kirt Walker (Cindy) of Columbus, OH; his granddaughters, Maria Steier (Mark) of Whittemore, Rahne Onstot (Casey) of Norwalk and Bailey Walker (Greg Allan) of Gilbert, AZ; his great grandchildren, Charleigh, Kacy, Shaylin, Alice Steier, Jaycey and Kensley Onstot; and his sisters-in-law, Bernice Walker of Algona, Minnie Walker of Algona, Marvel Culbertson of Lone Rock and Viola Hansen of Algona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Durwood's family and will be distributed to Hope Lodge in Rochester, MN and to Hospice of the Heartland in Algona, in his memory.
