She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Johnston and Jeanne Johnston (Stubbe); her husband R. Dwight Simpson; her sons, Richard, Jim and David; her siblings, Marvin, Wally and Carol; her daughter-in-law Rose Hutchison; and her grandson-in-law Jason Radunz.

She is survived by: her children, Judy McGrath (Paul) of Elysburg, PA, Peggy Nelson (Andrew) and John Simpson (Merry); her daughters-in-law, Marilyn Simpson and Kathy Simpson; and her sister Karen Sigmund. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
