He is survived by: his parents, Don Tietz of Algona and Shirley Tietz (Budd) of Gig Harbor, WA; his sister Lisa (Torsten) of Gig Harbor, WA; his nieces and nephews, Baylee Shaner (Luke) of Newburyport, MA, Chloe Arnold of Gig Harbor, WA, Brennan and Caden Arnold of Gig Harbor, WA; his uncle Wayne; his aunt Becky Tietz of Algona; and his pet Stogie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grace Church in Darren's memory.
