She was predeceased by: her parents, Kham Phiakhamta and Eth Phiakhamta; her siblings, Chainit, Kinhom and Banthone; and her parents-in-law, Vanla and Khammy Syharath.
She is survived by: her family Bouaraphanh; her husband Khamla Syharath of Algona; her children, Maria Grimaldi, Joe Syharath (Michelle), John Syharath (Nannette), Pierre Syharath and Bernadette Peterson (Eric); and her siblings, Nah-Sao Yomma of Laos, Nah-Sao Moyen Keophany (John) of Storm Lake, Bao King, Bao Ling Keo Phiakhamta of Laos, Bao Fean Phiakhamta of Des Moines, Bao Tanh Phiakhamta (Nout) of Storm Lake and Bao Nah Phiakhamta (Joy) of Storm Lake. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
