It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Johansen (Algona, Iowa), born in Armstrong, Iowa, who passed away on March 15, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Christian Pedersen and Minnie Pedersen; her husband Herluf; her siblings, Donald, Darlene Hummel and Wilma; and her brother-in-law Ordean Tow.
She is survived by: her sons, David (Jeanie) of Ames and Dennis (JoAnn) of Algona; her sister Lavonne Tow of Ringsted; her grandchildren, Christine Reiter (Marc) of Sheldon, Carly Prior (Mike) of Algona, Chealsey Lynch (Kevin) of Aviano, Andrew Johansen (Laci) of Ames and Nikki Johansen of Ames; and her great grandchildren, Evan, Kainan, Olivia, Kelly Reiter of Sheldon, Grant Prior of Algona, Gavin, Brody Webb of Spring Hill and Elyza Johansen of Boone.
