She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Backes and Emma Backes; her siblings, Martha Lehrman and Franklin Backes; her brothers-in-law, LaVern Meinberg, William Noelck, Melvin Lehrman, Edgar Heitshusen, John D. Scott and Don Magdefrau; her nieces and nephews, Gayle Lehrman, Jan Magdefrau, Dean and Mark Heitshusen; and her son Jerry.
She is survived by: her husband Ivan; her son Brian; her sisters, Alice Heitshusen of Williamsburg, Luella Scott of Mechanicsville and Frances Magdefrau of Belle Plaine; and her sister-in-law Ruth Noelck of Hampton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church - Alden (806 Mill St, Alden, IA 50006). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests memorials be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden, IA in her memory.
