He is survived by: his wife Kris Arends of Alden, Iowa; his child Brannon Arends (Cadie); his grandchild Adalee; his children, Kyle Arends (Emily) and Carter Arends (Bridget Berven) of Alden, Iowa; and his sisters, Joni Torkelson (Dave) of Humboldt and Lori Woodruff (Will) of Boone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
